How to install Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5

Posted by Administrator on Saturday, June 25, 2011

Before installing the .Net framework, You have to check whether it is already installed on your computer. If so no need of installing it.  Microsoft .Net Framework comes with windows updates and you may already have it.
To Check that

  1. Run "Add or Remove Programs" in the control panel and see if "Microsoft .NET Framework" is installed.

If you have already install it. Check the version it may be v1.0, v1.1, v2.0, v3.0, v3.5 or latest 4.0. If you have older versions it is better to update it to version 3.5 or 4.0 to gain better features.

And .Net framework is not installed and you have older versions follow the steps below to install it.
  1. Go to the .Net Framework download web site.
  2. Scan for updates.
  3. Select .NET Framework Version 3.5 (or a later version if it exists).
  4. Download it.
  5. Execute the Microsoft .NET Framework installer.
  6. Accept the End User License Agreement (EULA) as follows and click Install.
  7. Once the installation of .NET Framework is finished, as .NET Framework 3.5 installation suggests, run Windows Updates to get .NET Framework updates.

Now you have installed Microsoft .Net framework successfully.
